This episode is a public service announcement to the podcasting community. There is a scam out there under the name of “Tribal Messenger Daily” and “World Author’s Conference”, and it is targeting podcasts and podcast authors. They go as far as making a Faceboook fan page for authors’ work (which effectively puts authors’ faces on their brand without permission, with a clear goal of using authors’ reputations to scam their own audiences). If you get a mail saying “you’ve been selected as one of the TOP 50 PODCASTS FOR AUTHORS!” or a podcast or blog equivalent, do not let your excitement of an “award” blind you from what this is, a serious threat to your hard earned reputation with your audience.
